The short version
Picsbeat is a personal album for workout-born player cards. You are not chatting with strangers inside the app. Cards do not hop from one user’s device to another. We are not building a social graph of your training life, and we do not ask you to hand over a passport scan to mint a Bronze card.
What the app mainly needs is what you type and, if you choose Selfie mode, a photo you provide. That material is used to generate artwork — not to profile you as a person for advertising dossiers.
Who runs this
Picsbeat is operated by Horhy Megal (“we”, “us”). If something in this policy feels unclear, write to [email protected] — that mailbox is for real questions, not marketing blasts.
What you send when you create a card
To draw a card, the app may transmit to a third-party image service:
- Text you enter yourself — sport context and your workout description (and related generation prompts derived from that input).
- An image you supply yourself — only in Selfie mode, when you take a front-camera shot or pick a gallery photo so the art can be styled around that face.
You do not send us a contacts book, location trail, or health-clinic dossier as part of card generation. Other users never receive your text or photos through Picsbeat. There is no in-app player-to-player data exchange.
Third-party image generation (fal / Google Nano Banana)
Card art is produced through fal, using Google Nano Banana models as a third-party service:
- Illustration mode — text-to-image (Google Nano Banana Pro image generation on fal).
- Selfie mode — image-to-image editing (Google Nano Banana Pro image editing on fal), using the photo you provide as the source.
For that hop, the payload is the creative input you chose: text and/or your image — not a separate package of personal identity documents. How fal and the underlying model provider process requests is governed by their own terms and privacy materials. Ratings (OVR), rarity tiers, and the six card stats are calculated locally on your device and are not “decided” by the image model.
Analytics, messaging, and infrastructure helpers
To keep the app standing upright and to understand crashes or attribution in the wild, Picsbeat may use these third-party services:
- Firebase — typical app infrastructure / operational signals (as configured in the build).
- Singular — attribution and related measurement so we can tell which install path actually worked.
- OneSignal — push notifications, if you allow them.
In that layer we aim for the lightest practical footprint: often a unique identifier used for tracking, delivery, and diagnostics — not a scrapbook of your private life. We do not collect personal data as a product goal. If a vendor receives a device or push identifier, that is so the service can function, not so we can sell a dossier about you.
What we do not do
- We do not operate a user-to-user marketplace of personal data inside Picsbeat.
- We do not require you to share personal identity papers to generate or save cards.
- We do not use your workout prose as a public feed for other athletes.
- We do not claim ownership of your face photo beyond what is needed to fulfill a generation request you started.
Data that stays close to you
Your album, card metadata, profile display name, and default sport preferences are meant to live as part of your on-device experience. Clearing the album (where the app offers it) is under your control on the device.
Children
Picsbeat is not directed at children who cannot consent to app use under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information inappropriately, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to address it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Picsbeat after an update means you have had a chance to read the new wording.
